Due to the limited space in contemporary houses and the variety of family models traditional devices are being replaced by efficient elements for multifunctional living spaces. B-twist is an adaptable multi-purpose device which combines three different sizes of wash basins and it is equipped with a grey water recycling system.

WEEK 01. As the final project of the workshop “Programming Archaelogy” in ONElab, we're building a full size robot dinosaur. We were brainstorming today: just pulled down some hanging chairs and a whiteboard and started discussing our ideas.

rebirth of the bath house - liepaja

[what]: competition by Homemade Dessert. we were asked to reactivate the bath house building as well as add new structures and new functions to the complex.

The urban layout seeks the connection with the existing building, as well as a clear distribution of different uses. According to this main approach, the access is straight into the mezzanine, and immediately divides the plan in four parts that don’t interfere into each other: offices, public area, spa and hotel.

falling stars downtown karosta - karosta

[what]: competition by Homemade Dessert. to cover all scale of karosta's urban revitalization plan, we are asked to focus on small-scale architecture forms - playground areas, bus stops, benches, information signs - in order to develop a consistent concept to reinforce and reflect the identity of the town.

Breaking news. A massive meteor shower took place last night at the city center of Karosta between 2.00 and 4.00am. Surprisingly neighbors are out on the streets getting familiar with what is left of the meteors. Apparently they are turning them into street furniture, such as bus stops or children’s playground.

ecco contest - arcipelago di La Maddalena

Il primo avvicinamento al luogo del progetto, l’arcipelago della Maddalena, avviene attraverso quelle che si possono considerare le sue caratteristiche principali. Si tratta di uno spazio protetto -Parco Naturale geomarino dal 1994- famoso per la ricchezza della flora e della fauna, ma anche per la presenza di costruzioni storiche.

relocation of population at la cañada real - madrid

[what]: competition by ie and arquideas. the purpose was to consider housing as an urgent and basic component of improving urban environments for the poor, and to propose viable housing alternatives. the location was to be decided by each team.

the results came out february 28th so we are glad we can finally share our idea.

Formed by 16 kilometers of an old drover’s road, the Cañada is the biggest slum in Europe. Divided into six sectors, the Cañada is a big snake of tin houses settled on both sides of a dirt road riddled with holes. There are no public services in this area: the population has electricity thanks to the electric sockets used illegally, and most of the houses are inhabited by more people than they should.

we found out last tuesday that we were one of the winners of this competition. now it is time to finally share it! 

El proyecto quiere provocar un contraste entre naturaleza y nuevas tecnologías, creando un entorno bien reconocido por todos como es el campo de Castilla. Es un nuevo espacio al servicio de la ciudad que conecta el Matadero con el río, y además crea un paisaje no urbano, convirtiéndose en un hito. El lugar de actuación se coloniza con un bosque de andamios que se convierte en la estructura del proyecto CAMPO MATADERO.
